2026 WR Kaydon Finley Catches Up With Notre Dame's Mike Brown
Notre Dame and Kaydon Finley have got to know each other quite well over the last year or so.
The 2026 Texas receiver has made multiple visits to South Bend already and last week, Irish receivers coach Mike Brown made his way down to Aledo High School to check in on Finley.
“It was really good,” Finley said of Brown. “We were just really talking about the OV.”
Finley will be back at Notre Dame for an official visit on June 12th.
But he’ll see Brown again even before that as the assistant is scheduled to return to Aledo for a practice this week.
“So I'll see him again,” Finley said. “But that was the main thing, just kicking and eating dinner together, so it was good.”
The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder appreciates all of the interest Brown and the Irish have shown him.
“It means a lot,” Finley said. “It just shows his interest in me, so I appreciate his time and everything he does.”
Finley has a positive opinion of Brown.
“He's a very lowkey chill guy,” he said of Brown.
“I feel like me and him click well.”
After multiple visits to Notre Dame, Finley is excited to spend more time with the guys who would be his teammates in South Bend.
“My biggest thing about getting back is just to see the connection with the players on the team and also the guys who are committed right now,” he said.
In addition to Notre Dame, Finley has an official visit scheduled to Texas the week after he returns to South Bend.
He already took an official to Arizona State last month.
“It was really good,” said Finley. “I met some new friends on the trip…it was good getting to connect with them.
“The coaching staff's pretty cool, so yeah, so that was really good.”
Finley doesn’t have a set date for an announcement yet, but expects it to be this summer.
“I think after I'm done with all my official visits, that's probably going to be my decision time. It's probably July.”
