2027 DE Isaac Miller Enjoys First Trip To Notre Dame
Just weeks after landing an offer from Notre Dame, Isaac Miller made his way to South Bend for Friday’s Irish Invasion.
The 2027 Wisconsin defensive lineman is glad he did.
“It was great,” Miller told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “The whole campus, the whole experience, everything just went smooth.”
The Catholic Memorial High School standout was pleased with his performance.
“I think I did pretty good,” the 6-foot-5, 250-pounder said. “I did the best I could. I did a lot better than I did last week. I came here with confidence knowing that I could dominate everybody that went against me.”
The coaches were certainly impressed.
“Coach Washington said I did great,” Miller added. “Coach (Marcus) Freeman said I did great. They said they're going to be looking at the film again and watching out. He just said I nominated.
Miller, who received his Irish offer in the middle of May, appreciated the chance to work with Notre Dame defensive line coach Al Washington.
“It was great,” he said. “Coach Washington walked us through everything, told us what to do. He had examples, players doing it. He had us do it multiple times to get the form right and get everything down.”
Miller also appreciated the opportunity to meet Freeman in person.
“He's great,” Miller said. “He's a young coach who understands his players well. He has a personality to him. He takes his players to church, to Mass. He's just a great person too.”
His overall impression of Notre Dame is tremendously positive.
“It was the first time I've been,” Miller said. “It's amazing. Everything just looks so beautiful. All the buildings are alike. They're all brick all, old. I don't think I could imagine anything better than this.”
Miller has upcoming trips to Wisconsin and Ohio State, but is also already eyeing a return trip to South Bend.
“I'm definitely coming down for a game day and June 15th, is when they can talk to me. I'll definitely get in contact right away.”
