2027 Prince Avenue Christian School (Ga.) running back Andrew Beard II‍ was one of the players everyone was watching during Notre Dame’s Irish Invasion camp.

The four-star prospect might have rushed for 1,937 yards and scored 26 total touchdowns in 2024, but Beard wanted to show the Irish staff more than stats.

“I felt things went definitely well,” Beard said. “It sucks Coach (Ja’Juan) Seider wasn’t there, but it was fun competing with some of the best around.”

With Seider absent, Notre Dame assistant Trent Miles worked closely with Beard, offering valuable feedback while reaffirming that the 5-foot-9, 180-pounder is a key target for the Irish staff.

“I feel like I improved on my route running today,” explained Beard. “We were with the tight ends running the routes on air. They just love my game. Coach Seider wasn’t here to officially offer me, but I'm definitely on the radar and a main priority.”

Beard was also impressed by the talent assembled at camp.

“It was probably the most competition I’ve had at camps,” Beard stated. “There were linebackers from Texas and Cali, so it was definitely fun to be able to compete.”

Beard’s interest in Notre Dame has already led him to South Bend and now he’s looking forward to growing his relationship with Seider.

“I'm definitely very interested,” said Beard. “I went to a game my freshman year. My parents love Notre Dame. Just continuing to build a relationship is very important to me.”

That connection extended beyond football as Beard took note of head coach Marcus Freeman’s emphasis on life outside the game.

“Really just relationships and how people are outside of football,” said Beard. “That's the main thing for me. Coach Freeman seems like he's very focused on getting people graduated and connections outside of football. That's what's really important to me.”
