
Grad Transfer OF Drew Berkland Commits to Notre Dame
Notre Dame baseball has landed a massive commitment from Minnesota graduate transfer Drew Berkland.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder played outfield and did some catching during his three-year career with the Gophers.
In 2025, Berkland batted .293 with 10 doubles, 14 home runs, a team-high 53 RBI and a slg% of .546 in 52 games with 51 starts.
For his career, Berkland has appeared in 110 games (82 starts), .287, 18 home runs, 70 RBI, 12 doubles and a .506 slg%.
Berkland was a three-sport star at Wayzata High School (Minn.). He won a state title in football in 2019 and in basketball in 2021. Berkland was an all-conference selection in all three sports as a junior.
Notre Dame beat out Duke, Indiana, Kansas State, North Carolina and USC for Berkland’s signature.
