Notre Dame has hosted several 2027 quarterback prospects to throw on campus this month and the Irish will have another major recruit in town to do so on Monday.

2027 Connecticut quarterback Keegan Croucher‍ took an unofficial visit to South Bend back in April and will be back today to throw.

The Cheshire Academy standout has several major offers from schools like Michigan, Oregon and Penn State among several others.

Croucher says the communication between himself and Irish quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli has been good, including over the weekend, when college coaches could finally reach out to contact 2027 prospects directly.

“Obviously I'm really high on them,” Croucher says. “He wants me to get in front of Coach (Marcus) Freeman and Coach (Mike) Denbrock.

“I think that's the next step.”

Given his current offer list, a second trip to South Bend in as many months suggests serious interest on Croucher’s part and he confirmed as much.

“Obviously, I don't have the offer, so that's one of the reasons I'm going out there,” he said. “I've been high on them and they've been high on me for a little bit.

“They recruit my area pretty hard. Obviously, I played against some kids up there who are on the team now.”

Croucher plays in the same league as the Brunswick School, which sent a trio of prospects from the Class of 2025 - Matty Augustine, Ethan Long and Blake Hebert - to Notre Dame.

“I'm very interested in their tradition and what they do over there,” Croucher continued. “I've built a pretty good relationship with Coach Guidugli, so I'm really excited about that.”

Croucher camped at Penn State, Clemson and Oregon recently and will stop at Miami and Ole Miss after Notre Dame.

But for now, his focus is on the Irish and he says getting that offer would “mean a lot.”

“I think anyone getting offered by Notre Dame has to mean something. I think it's one of the most iconic schools. Getting an offer from them, I think Notre Dame would definitely be in my top mix of schools.”
