Notre Dame has landed another key piece to the 2026 recruiting class as 2026 Loyola Blakefield (Md.) cornerback Khary Adams‍ has committed to the Fighting Irish.

“I want to thank God for blessing me with talent,” Adams said in a statement. “I would also like to thank all the coaches who took a chance on me and recruited me. Thank you to every coach who has coached me and prepared me for this moment. Go Irish.”

The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder is fresh off his official visit to Notre Dame last weekend, which likely served as the turning point for Adams.

“It was good learning their experiences, how they like the school and all that,” Adams said of getting to know Notre Dame’s commits and players. “My school’s Catholic. They really just have the same values.”

Adams chose the Irish over his dream school, Oregon, and other nationally ranked programs. What separated Notre Dame? The education.

“I want to go somewhere that would get me a good education, set me up for life outside of football,” said Adams.

Mike Mickens also made it very clear Adams was a priority since he offered the four-star prospect last summer.

“Really, that I'm important to the class and that I'm a priority,” said Adams of Mickens' message.  “He's a great coach. He's about development. We have a great relationship.”

Adams will join fellow cornerback Chaston Smith‍ in the 2026 haul.
