2027 QB Teddy Jarrard Talks Notre Dame Offer
For Teddy Jarrard, it was worth the wait.
The 2026 Georgia quarterback came into the week having already received offers from schools like Georgia, Miami, Michigan and Ohio State.
On Friday, he added LSU.
And Notre Dame.
“They FaceTimed me with the rest of the staff yesterday and offered me,” the North Cobb High School standout said of the Irish on Saturday. “I was excited.
“We've had a good relationship over the past couple months. I think what they're building up there, what they're framing and everything, it's great.”
Jarrard was one of two 2027 quarterbacks the Irish offered, along with Louisiana’s Peyton Houston.
“I think Notre Dame is a program that you've got to check a lot of boxes; as the type of person you are, you have to have the grades and you have to be a good person as well as being a good football player,” he said. “I think for them, I checked a lot of boxes. I think I fit the program and what I can do as well as what I can do off the field as a person. I think that's one of the bigger reasons why they chose me.
He’s thankful to be included on that very short list.
“I'm honored and grateful for it and going forward, I'm just looking forward to building more relationships with that program,” he said.
“They definitely feel pretty strong about me. I'm really grateful and they're going to be on my top list. I think I'm going to be trimming it down here in the next two days, making a list or whatever and they're going to be on it. That's how I feel about them and they feel good about me too. That's a big thing.”
The next step could be for Jarrard to make fall visits to the schools on that list.
“I'm going to have all that figured out soon for game days and stuff like that,” he said.
Or, he could have a decision before the fall even arrives.
“If I feel really good about a school after the summer period, I'm probably going to make a decision before the season,” he said. “If I'm not too sure, I'll probably decide after the season sometime.”
He certainly knows what he’ll be looking for when it comes time to choose.
“Development, honestly, is the biggest thing for me. I want to be developed, be somewhere where I can win games and have good players around me and good coaches.”
