Madison Norris has seen Notre Dame and likes what he’s seen. Now, the 2018 Indiana defensive end/linebacker is waiting to see where things move for him with the Irish.

“We just talk every once in a while,” Norris said. “They want me to send my SAT and ACT scores before we talk about visiting again and hopefully getting an offer.”

The 6-foot-5, 200-pounder from Hamilton Southeastern High School already has a dozen offers from schools like Purdue, Indiana, Tennessee, Minnesota, Cincinnati and Louisville among others, but said an offer from Notre Dame would be an important one.

“It means that I’m going in a really good direction because that’s a really known program,” he said. “A lot of people talk about Notre Dame being a really good school to go to and a really good football program. It’d be an honor to get an offer and go to the school.

“I like that school a lot. It’s a really good school. They’re really spot-on about their education. That’s one thing I really look for first because I’m not going to be playing football forever and I’ve really got to get a good education before I worry about football. They have a really good football program and really good coaching.”

TOP 2018 LB DOING HIS RESEARCH: Ayodele Adeoye has a lengthy and impressive offer sheet already, but the 2018 St. Louis linebacker is still open to more options.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder has had some contact with Notre Dame staffer Aaryn Kearney.

“He said he loves my game, but they need to see me,” Adeoye said. “When they see me, they’ll probably offer.

“He told me they were going to come up this spring to see me.”

With offers from schools like LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Purdue, South Carolina, Louisville, Missouri, Indiana and Arkansas among others already, Adeoye isn’t sure where the Irish would fit in just yet.

“I’d have to go see it, I’d have to see everything, see the facilities and do my research on Notre Dame,” he said. “From there, I could tell you what I think about Notre Dame. I really don’t know much about Notre Dame.

“I’m just doing research on the schools that have offered me right now, so I’ll really evaluate Notre Dame once they pull the trigger.”

Adeoye isn’t claiming any leaders at this point, but does plan on visiting Oklahoma and Texas soon along with return trips to Missouri and LSU. He hopes to have a decision before the end of summer.

“I say before the season, but I don’t want to rush,” he said. “If I’m not ready to make a decision before the season, I’m not going to make a decision.”

TE LEE WOULD WELCOME RETURN: Logan Lee hasn’t had much contact with Notre Dame since his visit to South Bend a few weeks back, but the 2019 Illinois tight end said he was “very fortunate” for the chance to visit the school in the first place.

The 6-foot-5, 231-pounder from Orion High School said he would “absolutely” be in for a return trip.

“Notre Dame is an incredible school and the campus is incredible,” he said.

Lee, who already has offers from Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Michigan, was impressed with what he saw in South Bend and would be excited to get an even deeper look into the school.

“My first visit, I got to sit in the tight ends meeting,” he said. “I got to watch a practice. I saw a lot. I didn’t get a real tour of the campus, but I got several tours of the football facilities, so I’d like to tour the campus a little bit more.”

…AND SO WOULD 2018 IN DT: Lawrence Johnson made a pair of trips to Notre Dame in consecutive weeks last fall and the 2018 Fort Wayne, Ind., native remains in consistent contact with the Irish.

“I hear a lot from Notre Dame,” the 6-foot-4, 285-pounder said. “I hear about their d-line and how good their defense is going to be.

“I talk to (recruiting coordinator Mike Elston) a lot on Twitter and he’s just feeding me information about Notre Dame.”

Johnson, who has offers from Purdue, Western Michigan, Bowling Green, Ball State, Northern Illinois and Miami-Ohio, pointed to the first three as being the most consistent with him.

He isn’t exactly sure what’s next for him and Notre Dame.

“Hopefully I take another visit there to feel the atmosphere,” he said. “I took a visit there last year and the atmosphere was crazy, so hopefully I get another chance to go back there and take another visit.”
