Top 2027 WR Quentin Burrell Looking To Return To Notre Dame
After making a pair of unofficial visits to Notre Dame this spring, Quentin Burrell plans on returning to South Bend this fall.
The 2027 Illinois receiver said he’s been in regular contact with Director of Recruiting Carter Auman and student assistant Justice Bathas.
“We've been texting and calling and communicating,” said Burrell. “Just saying that they need me there and then just talking about the degree and the fit and making the relationship and getting up to games; just seeing more of the school and learning more about it.
“I think they're really good people. They're really cool. They make an effort to try to talk to me, make me feel wanted. So I like them a lot.”
The Mount Carmel High School star wants to get back to Notre Dame after visits in April and June.
“We're planning on trying to get a game,” the 6-foot-3, 195-pounder said.
“Seeing the atmosphere, the fans, how they prepare for their game, how it is on game day and how they coach on game day.”
Burrell has a lengthy list of offers that includes schools like Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Alabama, Stanford, Arizona State and Washington among several others, but the Irish have had his attention for a while now.
“They have great academics,” he said of the Irish. “They have a great and historic football program. People in the building are great and it's close to home.”
He has a couple other visits in mind at the moment and expects that list to grow.
“I'm going to try to get to Penn State, probably Arizona State,” he said. “Those are the two that I've been talking about. I've got to get my other ones.”
He’s planning to trim his list down to eight to 10 in the coming months and has a good idea of how he’s going to be evaluating each of his options.
“The people in the building, the relationships I have, the development, the program, and where I can feel like I could be there for four years.”
