2026 Notre Dame DE Commit Ebenezer Ewetade Excited For Senior Season
Ebenezer Ewetade is looking forward to his senior season and the 2026 Notre Dame defensive end commit from North Carolina is expecting big things from his South Garner High School squad this year.
“The team's looking amazing right now,” Ewetade says. “Everything is going smooth. The whole practices have been competitive all summer, all spring.
“That's really what you want in a football team. We've all got each other's back. I feel like this is going to be an amazing season. We're definitely going deep in the playoffs. The goal is to go undefeated in the regular season.”
The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder says being disciplined will give the Titans the best chance to reach their potential.
“Lowering the amount of penalties we get, the offense scoring, taking care of business, not just getting into the red zone, but also executing,” he says.
“For defense, really just getting after it, getting picks, getting sacks, making tackles, making sure we wrap up and take to the ground.”
The future Notre Dame defender has some personal goals for himself.
“100 tackles and 20 sacks this season,” he says.
He believes he put in the work this offseason to improve his game.
“Really just tracking my hands, using my hands a lot, working on moves, getting around,” he says.
He’s looking forward to having his best season yet.
“It feels good knowing this is my senior season,” he says. “I definitely have the advantage over everybody. I've just got to dominate and go out there and play like it.
Ewetade, who committed to Notre Dame during an unofficial visit back in April, will be back on campus again next month.
“I'm going to be there for Texas A&M and USC,” he says.
He’s honored to be a part of Notre Dame’s 2026 recruiting class.
“It's been amazing to be a part of the family. I feel like this class is going to be special. It's going to be a class to remember for decades. I'm not going to lie, it's going to be an amazing class.”
