The decision has been made. CJ Carr will be Notre Dame’s starting quarterback against Miami. The quarterback competition didn’t go how a lot of people thought it would, even if the end result was what many expected.

Expectations don’t really matter now, though. All that matters now is that Marcus Freeman and the staff made their choice. They are rolling with Carr and everything will be focused on preparing him for the challenge that lies ahead on the road in week one.
