It says a lot about how the standard has changed at Notre Dame based on the reaction to their loss against Miami.

There are no credible people calling the Irish a fraud. There aren’t any freakouts by the national media. The Irish lost on the road to a top-10 opponent and the reaction was appropriate. Notre Dame dropped, but are still considered a top-10 team in both major polls.

Despite those reactions, there is a level of anger and disappointment from the fanbase that is understandable.
