JT Geraci has quite the impressive offer sheet.
The 2027 New Jersey tight end has offers from Syracuse, Boston College, Duke, Florida, Alabama, Ohio State, Texas and Texas A&M among several others.
There’s still at least one other school he’s hoping to add an offer from, Notre Dame.
That’s one reason the Don Bosco Prep standout will be returning to South Bend later this month for the Purdue game after camping there over the summer.
“I know Notre Dame's on the top of his list,” Don Bosco Prep head coach Dan Sabella says “He would really love the opportunity to have a legitimate offer from them; loves the campus, loves the staff, loves the offense.
“I just saw his parents and they had commented how they're really, really excited and hopeful with the prospects of how that recruitment's going.”
From his end, Sabella believes the Irish are waiting to see some additional film from the 6-foot-5, 230-pounder.
“I would imagine so,” the coach says.
Sabella believes the Irish will like what they see.
“He's coming along,” the coach says, noting Geraci had a good game in Don Bosco’s opener. “He had a good offseason and he's continuing to develop as being multidimensional, being able to block inside the box. And obviously, he's a really strong route runner.”
Geraci’s greatest strength may be what he brings as a receiver.
“He's got really good size and he's got an excellent set of hands and runs really good routes for a big man,” says Sabella. “He's a matchup problem.”
He was at Ohio State on Saturday for the Buckeyes’ huge win over Grambling State. He was at Florida before that and will stay busy this fall with expected trips to Texas, Alabama and Michigan.
