Notre Dame has been after Anthony Roberts‍ since offering back in May and this weekend, the Irish will have the chance to host the 2027 North Carolina receiver for Saturday night’s game against Texas A&M.

Rolesville High School head coach Ranier Rackley says Brown comes into the visit high on Notre Dame.

“Oh, he loves it,” Rackley says. “He loves it, man. He loves it.

“I wouldn't be surprised if they get a few of my guys. We'll see.”

Rackley says he and his players see similarities between the culture at Rolesville and Norte Dame.

“What we do here, they kind of see the same there just from a cultural standpoint and from a structural standpoint, they see both,” Rainer says.

“You want to be around guys who really truly love you outside of football and I think that's good. The people at Notre Dame make them feel welcome.”

Rackley says his players believe they could thrive in an atmosphere similar to the one they’re currently in.

Roberts has an impressive offer sheet that also includes schools like North Carolina, Duke, NC State, Maryland, Miami, Louisville, Penn State, Florida State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Wisconsin and South Carolina among others.

But his coach says Roberts won’t take too many visits this fall, acknowledging getting to Notre Dame was indeed a priority.

Rackley isn’t surprised so many schools are after the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder.

“He'll do whatever he's asked,” he says of Roberts. “It starts at home for him. He's got a good supporting cast, a lot of great people around him. That's a top-notch kid man. He fits the mold of Notre Dame; Coach (Marcus) Freeman loves him.

“He'll outrun you, outjump you, run you over. He's got really big hands, basketball hands, great route technician. He can play defense as well. You name it.”

Rackley says Roberts still has room to improve, especially playing when he doesn’t have the ball, but he’s quite the package already.

“How to take leverage, how to take those steps, get advantage on him as far as blocking,” the coach says.

“Other than that, man, I think he's pretty much got everything. There's always room for improvement across the board, but to think he still has another season to go to in high school is kind of crazy.”
