Chris Bradley‍ made the trip to South Bend for Notre Dame’s game against Purdue earlier this month and the 2027 Ohio defensive back left impressed.

“It was great,” Bradley told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “It was fantastic.

“When I first got there with my family, they were so welcoming. I walked in, they gave me food, fed us. Then we went out, talked to the coaches and we just saw the field and it was amazing.”

While on campus, the 5-foot-10, 155-pounder had the opportunity to speak with student recruiting assistant Justice Bathas.

“He was just really talking about how he saw my film and he saw the ability I can make on the field and what I put on the tape is great,” Bradley said of Bathas. “He said we'll stay in contact for sure.

“He was great, really nice, welcoming. He was just really aware of me. He was ready for me when I came to talk to him.”

Bradley, who has offers from Toledo, Miami-Ohio and Kent State, is honored to be on the Irish’s radar.

“It felt great,” he said. “Notre Dame is a great place. I've been watching them since I was younger, so it was just really good for me to know they were interested in me and knowing that all my hard work has paid off.”

After watching the Irish so much on TV, the Lakota West High School standout was overwhelmed attending a game in person.

“It was crazy,” he said. “Being there, it was crazy. The fans and student section actually made the atmosphere go crazy. It was just really loud. They were all into it. It was great. It was fantastic.”

He was also impressed with the Irish’s performance.

“They played great,” Bradley said. “They played as one unit. They were firing on all cylinders. They were just playing together as one team. It was great.

“They all trusted each other. Even when they had their downs, when Purdue scored, they didn't panic, none of that. They just played really well, kept composure, kept going.”

Bradley isn’t sure what schools he’ll visit next, but does intend to keep in touch with the Irish.

“I'm sure we'll stay in contact,” he said. “I hope we stay in contact. That game showed me a lot about Notre Dame. I really loved it, so I hope we stay in contact. I'll keep working so they can keep talking.

He has a good idea of what he’s looking for in a school.

“I'm just really looking at what school shows the most interest, shows the most love. A lot of schools this year will sweet talk and try to get you there to come there just to be an athlete. I just want to go to a school that shows love and benefits me in a way that helps with my goals and future.”
