Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman spoke for the final time before Saturday's game with Boise State. 

On if freshmen are more open to redshirting with new roster limits and how they manage the roster with first-year players:
“If we have a freshman that we think we need to help us win, we're gonna play them. If we can redshirt a guy and maybe get them four games of experience, then we'll also do that.
