2028 OL/DL King Pitts Talks Notre Dame Offer, Possible Visit
King Pitts had hoped to make it to South Bend for this past weekend’s game against Boise State, but the 2028 California offensive lineman/defensive lineman couldn’t make it.
He’s hoping to make it soon though.
“They're going to text me and give me a schedule to go to for the next game,” the Cardinal Newman High School standout told Irish Sports Daily.
He did get some good news as he was sorting through those visit plans last week.
The 6-foot-6, 250-pounder was offered by Notre Dame on Friday.
“It meant a lot, honestly,” Pitts told Irish Sports Daily. “It was one of the first offers that I posted on my Instagram because it was such a big thing for me.”
Pitts has dozens of offers at this point from schools like UCLA, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida State and Ohio State among others.
Still, the Notre Dame offer was extra special.
“It's been like a dream school for me and my dad for the longest time,” he said. “From the gold helmets, the ambiance to the Fighting Irish.”
Pitts hasn’t visited South Bend yet, but is excited for the chance to do so soon.
“I’d like to see how it is to be in that stadium,” he said.
The communication with the staff to this point has been “pretty good,” according to Pitts.
“Pretty casual contact, but not too much since there are NCAA rules and stuff,” he said.
His early impressions are positive.
“They seem like some really good people,” he said. “Everybody seems very excited to be out there, so a very good group of people.”
Pitts doesn’t have any visits locked in at the moment, but that should change soon.
“I think I'm going to go to USC pretty soon and then I'm just playing it by ear.”
