Boston College was who we thought they were. They were going to fight hard and compete all game. They weren’t going to lay down despite losing seven games in a row coming into this matchup with Notre Dame.

They also are a bad football team with clear talent deficiencies. They were overmatched by the Irish and no one needed to know it was 8.3 to 3.6 yards per play to realize it. BC needed things to go their way for the outcome to be as close as it was.
