Notre Dame defensive line coach Al Washington spoke following Tuesday's practice. 

On if he played the service academies when he was at Boston College: 
“I did. We played Army while I was there and we played Navy. Now Army, at the time, they were not like a triple [option]. That was one of those weird times where they were kind of like not doing that. But yeah, it's unique.”

On if there were a lot of lower injuries when playing the service academies:
“Yeah.
