The first College Football Playoff rankings came out and Notre Dame is coincidentally ranked in the exact same spot that they were last year at this same time.
The Irish started out 10th and then climbed all the way to fourth before sliding down to fifth in the final rankings. There was less complaining about where Notre Dame was slotted after week 10 last year.
