At this time of year in 2015, things weren't looking too great for Notre Dame defensive end recruiting. They did have 4 star prospect Julian Okwara on board, but weren't in a good position with any other players on the board.

Things changed drastically over the next seven months in a good way for the Irish. They ended up flipping former Alabama commit Khalid Kareem in October and then landed a commitment former USC commit Daelin Hayes in December.
