Pitt came into this game red hot on offense since QB Mason Heintschel was inserted into the lineup. They averaged 40 points a game and in five straight wins.
They did most of that without their top running back available. Desmond Reid was 1st team All-ACC last season and he only played one full game during the five game winning streak. He was fully healthy coming into this game and one would think it could take their offense to another level.
That didn’t happen.
