It took Syracuse literally until their 80th play to score points in this game. They averaged 2.6 yards per play while playing against Notre Dame’s threes and fours for the majority of the second half.
That pretty much sums up the day for the Irish defense. They dominated an overmatched offense. This was the second game in a row where they scored more points than the starting offense they were facing.
