Notre Dame defensive coordinator Chris Ash spoke on Monday evening as the Irish prepare for Stanford. 

On how he was able to get Notre Dame to go from early struggles to one of the best defenses in the country: 
“Well, it's called development, you know? Practice and work. But, you know there was nothing, regardless of what anybody thinks, there was nothing that was truly broken in the beginning.
