10-2. 

We’ll leave the discussion on the playoffs for another day, but it’s the type of season most expected entering the year. 12-0 seemed a bit daunting in August, with a new quarterback, a new defensive coordinator, and a few new pieces at key positions, combined with the Miami and Texas A&M gauntlet. 

11-1 was likely the best-case scenario, while splitting the first two games and dropping one somewhere was the most likely.
