Chris Harris Jr.‍, was impressed by his first trip to Notre Dame this past weekend for the Irish’s game against Navy.

“It went good,” the 2027 Missouri wide receiver told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “I enjoyed it.”

The Lee’s Summit West High School standout was impressed with the pregame and fortunate for the opportunity to watch one Irish star in person.

“I got to see Jeremiyah Love play,” he said. “I was excited for that one.”

Love’s 48-yard touchdown scamper when he rolled over a Navy defender, but seemed to be the only one who realized he was never down, provided the game’s top highlight.

“It was great,” Harris Jr., said of the run.

But as much as anything, the 6-foot, 175-pounder enjoyed the atmosphere and the game.

“It was dope,” Harris Jr., said of the environment inside Notre Dame Stadium. “I liked how they have their own music and stuff, like the Irish stuff. I liked that.

“I think they played good against Navy. I feel like they got the ball to who they needed to get the ball to and who was hot.”

Harris Jr., was paying particularly close attention to the Irish receivers, including Malachi Fields.

“They just got the ball to who was hot, like #0,” he said. “#0 was getting open and then they were just getting him the ball on and he was making plays after.”

It’s an offense Harris Jr., believes he could fit.

Prior to the game, he had the chance to speak with some Notre Dame coaches, including receivers coach Mike Brown.

“He was just talking about how our season was going and how the team looked,” he said.

“They all seem like really cool people. They always seem like they want the best for you.”

Playing style and his relationship with the coaches will be paramount when it comes time for Harris Jr., to choose a school.

He’s already been to Kansas, Kansas State, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Iowa State. He goes to Missouri next, but would plans on keeping in touch with the Irish.

“Just staying in contact with all the coaches and getting back up to campus.”
