There was no good reason for Notre Dame to move down in the College Football Playoff rankings. If anyone was looking for a legitimate explanation as to why it happened, they weren’t getting it from CFP Chair Hunter Yurachek.

Marcus Freeman isn’t one to go scorched earth on anyone publicly. I’m sure he spoke for everyone in the program when he put it as politely as possible that the reason for moving Alabama ahead of Notre Dame made no sense.
