It is what it is.  

When this agreement was put together, I had mentioned that I had real concerns about it.  I mentioned that there was nobody on the “committee” who would be an advocate for Notre Dame, and that certainly seemed to be the case in this particular season.  There is no good reason for anyone wanting Notre Dame in the playoff, other than ND and their fans.  That fact isn’t going to change whether it’s eight teams, 12 teams or 16.
