For everyone involved in Notre Dame’s program, it’s difficult to move on from the fresh wound of not making the College Football Playoff. They have no choice but to move on, though. Letting it linger too long will be wasting this extra time they now have to shape the 2026 roster.

They already know they have 24 early enrollees entering the picture in January.
