2025 was quite the year for Notre Dame’s defense.

The opening two games represented a low point, but by season’s end, the Irish had developed into one of the nation’s top defensive units.

Notre Dame’s cornerback play wasn’t an issue for the most part outside of the first two games. Yes, cornerbacks are going to get beaten, but the key is making it up, and the Irish did just that while also playing several young players.
