Notre Dame lacrosse will look a little different this spring as Jordan Faison won’t be on the field.
Sources tell ISD he’ll give up lacrosse to focus on football ahead of his senior season at Notre Dame.
As a freshman, Faison helped Kevin Corrigan and the Irish win a National Title while starting all 17 games and totaling 30 points.
In his second season, the 5-foot-10, 185-pounder appeared in 12 games and recorded 14 points, including nine goals from his midfield spot.
The move to focus on football is a smart decision following a productive junior campaign in which Faison led Notre Dame in receptions (49) and yards (640).
It’s also one of the most intriguing stories in college football as Faison arrived at Notre Dame in 2023 as a walk-on. Faison didn’t play until game seven, but he never looked back.
In his first game, Faison recorded two catches against Louisville, which included a 36-yard touchdown from Sam Hartman. Faison continued that momentum to finish with 19 catches for 322 yards and four touchdowns.
To end his freshman year, Faison was named Offensive MVP of the Sun Bowl as he tallied five receptions for 122 yards and one touchdown in the 40-8 drubbing of Oregon State.
Faison has totaled 98 receptions for 1,318 yards and nine touchdowns during his first three seasons at Notre Dame.
Notre Dame lacrosse won’t be without a Faison this spring. Faison’s younger brother, Dylan, signed with football and lacrosse in December and will enroll in January. The younger Faison was ranked as the nation’s top lacrosse player in the 2026 recruiting class.
