2025 was quite the year for Notre Dame’s defense.
The opening two games represented a low point, but by season’s end, the Irish had developed into one of the nation’s top defensive units.
Notre Dame’s linebacker play was up and down in the first three games as they adjusted to the new scheme and checks under Chris Ash, but they rebounded to finish strong.
