2025 was quite the year for Notre Dame’s defense.
The opening two games represented a low point, but by season’s end, the Irish had developed into one of the nation’s top defensive units.
Similar to other positions on the defensive side, Notre Dame’s defensive ends really picked it up after week two. In fact, the Irish defense finished No. 1 in total pressures with 315, and the 36 sacks finished No. 4 per PFF.
