Notre Dame freshman WR Scrap Richardson has entered the transfer portal.
Richardson was a composite 4-star recruit and had a 3-star grade of 88 from ISD. He was making the conversion to wide receiver after playing quarterback in high school and was a late addition to Notre Dame’s 2025 recruiting class.
He spent a year at Notre Dame after enrolling early and redshirted in his first college season. He has four years of eligibility left.
Five freshmen receivers are joining the roster this January and they also have seven receivers returning from last season. With some potential additions in the transfer portal, there was going to be a battle for reps this spring and Richardson was likely going to be one of the players fighting to get those limited reps.
