Notre Dame entered the day with one of the nation’s top Transfer Portal hauls and it just got even more impressive.
Marcus Freeman and the Irish have secured former Oregon defensive lineman Tionne Gray, which gives them a second interior presence in the portal class.
The 6-foot-6, 336-pounder played in 17 games for the Ducks, including 13 games in 2025.
After redshirting as a freshman, Gray made 18 tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss in 232 snaps last fall.
The St. Louis native immediately fills a void Notre Dame had on its roster, while also giving the Irish size up the middle they simply haven’t had in years.
Pitt transfer Francis Brewu will give Notre Dame an explosive playmaker up the middle, while Gray will be a space eater with the ability to let one of the deepest linebacker corps in the country run free.
Gray was the No. 3 defensive lineman and the No. 17 overall player in the Transfer Portal per 247 Sports.
