Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman held a press conference earlier this week, marking the first time he had spoken publicly in more than a month.
It was also the first time during Freeman’s tenure that he addressed the media following the season. In past years, his first offseason availability typically came when Notre Dame opened spring practice.
Why did this happen?
It’s probably safe to say Freeman wanted to speak publicly about being accused of battery.
