Fridays here at Irish Sports Daily mean ISD Intel, our weekly peek behind the scenes of Notre Dame Football and Irish recruiting.

This week, we take a closer look at the impact Notre Dame’s two new defensive assistant, Mike Elko and Clark Lea, are having on the recruiting trail through planning and the formulation of relationships.

We also have an update on 2018 five-star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and his plans for the recruiting process and a look at why 2017 could be another breakout year for his brother, Equanimeous, in South Bend.

The in-state Longhorns are the favorite for 2018 Texas defensive back D’shawn Jamison and with good reason, but that isn’t going to stop Notre Dame from taking its shot. Hear his feelings on the Irish and whether he may get to South Bend for a visit.

We have some additions to our Irish Invasion Visit List.

Also, find out why 2018 Washington, D.C. point guard Prentiss Hubb is such a key commitment for Mike Brey and the Notre Dame men’s basketball program.

All of that and much more in this week’s ISD Intel.
