Marcus Freeman had to replace Mike Mickens as Notre Dame’s defensive backs coach and he is bringing in a Power 4 defensive coordinator to fill the role. It’s not something that a lot of programs could pull off, but it’s the kind of high profile hire that has become the norm for Freeman.
