Marcus Freeman made it crystal clear that his team was further ahead in its offseason than a year ago and practice would reflect that.
On Friday, Notre Dame did more team periods and 7-on-7 periods than in any previous year, as Freeman stated earlier in the week. There was the usual individual work to start practice, but after that, it was competitive, with a strong focus on actual football, even though the Irish weren’t in pads.
