2027 OL Luke Starcevic Ready For Notre Dame Return
Notre Dame has already made a strong impression on Luke Starcevic and the 2027 North Dakota offensive lineman will get a chance to take a deeper look during his return visit next weekend.
Starcevic has been in contact with the Irish staff for some time and will be back on campus April 11.
He has an idea of what he’ll be looking for both on the upcoming visit and when it comes time to choose a school in the end.
“The people, a lot about the program, like the coaches, how they win, development,” Starcevic told Irish Sports Daily. “Those are big ones for me.”
Those priorities have helped shape how he views the Irish early in the process.
“They win, they develop and they’ve got great people,” Starcevic said. “That’s what stands out.”
He has built his strongest connections with offensive line coach Joe Rudolph and head coach Marcus Freeman.
“He’s a great guy,” Starcevic said of Rudolph. “I enjoy all my talks with him. He knows the sport really well and how to develop an offensive lineman.”
Freeman has also made an impression early in the process.
“He seems like a great guy and knows how to run a program well,” Starcevic said.
The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder is athletic enough that several programs are recruiting him on the defensive side of the ball.
The Kindred High School standout holds offers from Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Washington among others.
Starcevic has already been to South Bend once before, attending the Syracuse game last fall, but this visit will offer a different look at the program.
“I want to see everyday practice and how they go about their daily life, the meetings and everything like that,” Starcevic said.
That behind-the-scenes access will be key as he continues working toward narrowing his options.
Starcevic is still in the process of mapping out his spring visit schedule, but plans to take multiple official visits before making a decision.
“Probably take a couple officials and then decide after that,” Starcevic said.
As he works through that process, his priorities remain consistent.
“People, development and winning. Those are my big three.”
