Notre Dame announced its four captains for the 2026 season this week and I think the team nailed it.

Marcus Freeman takes great pride in allowing his team to determine its captains, and it appears the players embrace competing for those roles during the offseason while also taking ownership of the decision.

Drayk Bowen and Adon Shuler were essentially locks to become back-to-back captains, especially after both spoke following Freeman’s opening press conference earlier this month.
