The start for Notre Dame’s offense was far from pretty. 1.8 yards per carry and 0 for 6 on 3rd down in the first half was not what anyone would have expected.
Some of that was caused by Wisconsin. A projected top-20 defense that was stingy against the run and consistently limited explosive plays last season was picking up where they left off when they were 16th in yards per play allowed during the month of November.
