2028 WR Quentavious Fly Hoping Notre Dame Recruitment Continues To Grow
Quentavious Fly went to Notre Dame this past weekend hoping to learn more about the Irish.
Watching Notre Dame dominate Rice in its home opener on Saturday gave the 2028 Indiana receiver another reason to hope his recruitment with the Irish continues to develop.
"It makes you want to go there, honestly," Fly told Irish Sports Daily.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Thea Bowman Leadership Academy standout does not have a Notre Dame offer yet, but does have offers from Penn State and Cincinnati.
He entered the weekend particularly interested in watching the Irish receivers.
The game-day atmosphere ended up being another major takeaway.
"It was great," Fly said. "Great atmosphere. I love the Leprechaun. He didn't stop moving. The fan base is great."
Fly watched the Irish control the game from the start and was impressed with the performance.
"It was a great game," he said.
Afterward, Fly was able to go into the Notre Dame locker room, where he joined the team for its postgame prayer and breakdown.
The trip didn't provide Fly with much individual time with the Notre Dame coaches, so there's still work to be done if his recruitment with the Irish is going to take the next step.
Fly knows exactly what he'd like those next steps to be.
"To get the offer and meet the receiver coaches," he said.
An offer would be significant for Fly, especially given Notre Dame's proximity to home for the Michigan City, Ind., native.
"It would mean a lot," he said. "It would mean a lot because that's basically right in the backyard."
Fly plans to continue taking visits throughout his junior season, with Illinois or Cincinnati likely to be next. He expects to spend the rest of the year collecting options and evaluating programs before narrowing his recruitment next summer.
When he does, development will be at the center of his decision.
"Obviously receiver coaches who can help me develop and a great weight room program and then honestly playing early on the field," Fly said.
