You are what your record says you are. There certainly is truth to that statement from Bill Parcells, but a 3-12 record and a 1-2 start for Barry Odom at Purdue doesn’t reflect the improvement the program has made from what he inherited.

The Boilermakers went 1-11 in 2024 and their average scoring margin that season was -30.8 points. WOOF. Odom only went 2-10 in his first year, but the scoring margin was nearly cut in half to -15.8 last season.
