Notre Dame Keeps Rolling Despite Sloppy Performance at North Carolina

Times have changed at Notre Dame.

The Fighting Irish will leave Chapel Hill with a perfect 5-0 record after running past North Carolina, 37-26, on Saturday afternoon.

It wasn’t Notre Dame’s cleanest performance.

Marcus Freeman’s program entered the weekend as the least-penalized team in the country, but the Irish were hit with four flags and made numerous special teams mistakes, including allowing a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half.
