2028 Michigan WR Brannon Hardy Looking To Build Notre Dame Relationship After Visit
Brannon Hardy got his first extended look at Notre Dame's program this past weekend and the 2028 Michigan receiver came away with a clear idea of what he'd like to accomplish next.
He hopes to establish a stronger connection with Irish receivers coach Mike Brown and work toward earning an offer.
Hardy attended Notre Dame's Green Out game against Stanford and came away impressed by the experience.
"It was amazing," Hardy said. "The visit was so good. The atmosphere was just crazy and they blew the team out. And it was a Green Out, so everybody came. It was amazing. I loved it."
The Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep standout already has offers from Purdue, Kentucky, Syracuse, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Kansas, Arizona State, Boston College and UMass, among others.
The visit included a meal with other recruits, an introduction to members of the staff and an opportunity to watch the team make its way into Notre Dame Stadium via the Player Walk. Hardy also spent time on the field before kickoff, watched the game from the stands and visited the locker room afterward.
"I saw the receivers coach, he’s a pretty cool dude," he said. "I talked to some of the players. It was just a great time overall."
The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder was invited to the game by a member of Notre Dame's scouting staff and appreciated the opportunity to get a closer look at the program. Hardy was encouraged by his conversations with the coaches, including the chance to learn more about the program and what they thought of him as a player.
"My impression was very good," he said. "They spoke really highly. They spoke highly of Notre Dame and of themselves, but also talking to me as a player. I thought it was a great talking experience."
The conversations also established the possibility of continued communication.
"Coach was talking about we just got to get connected," Hardy said. "They'll hit me up. They'll stay in touch and stuff like that."
The West Bloomfield, Mich., native hopes those initial discussions can develop into a more substantial relationship with Brown.
"I think the next step is me getting in touch with the receivers coach and potentially building that connection to receive an offer and possibly pursue that offer," he said.
He doesn't have any additional college visits scheduled at the moment, though he expects to make more trips as his recruitment continues.
