3rd and Medium has Been a Big Problem

Notre Dame’s defense is top-10 in the country in havoc rate. They have Sunday players at all three levels of their defense. They are first in available yards percentage and second in yards per play during non-garbage time.

They are also 83rd in 3rd down defense. It’s been the Achilles Heel of their defense and was one of the major factors in them losing to BYU. The Cougars were 8 of 12 on 3rd down against Notre Dame.
