Kellen Miller knows his way around Notre Dame, but the 2028 Florida wide receiver has not seen the Irish play yet this season.
He will on Saturday.
The IMG Academy standout has been to Notre Dame five times, but the Miami game will be his first trip to South Bend for a game this fall.
"I'm really excited," Miller told Irish Sports Daily. "This is my first time being to Notre Dame this season, so I can't wait to see what they've got."
He expects to see a fired up Irish squad.
"I think they're coming in with that extra hunger from last season, so I feel like it's going to be a great game," Miller said.
With an offer in hand this time, the focus of the trip will be different.
"Since I'm coming down there with the offer, I'm definitely looking forward to building better connections with Coach (Mike) Brown and seeing how the visit itself goes entirely," Miller said.
Miller talks with the Irish wide receivers coach from time to time while the staff keeps him in the loop with the gameday graphics.
"He just tells me to keep my head down and keep working," Miller said. "He knows the situation that I'm in, and he says that IMG is going to help me get to the next level."
It is the person behind the message who has made an even impression on the Detroit native.
"He's a really good person," Miller said of Brown. "He keeps things honest and straightforward, and I feel like I can really trust him and respect him."
In addition to Notre Dame, Miller's offer sheet includes schools like Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin among others.
He has already been to Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida and Kentucky this fall. A Vanderbilt trip on Nov. 14 is in doubt because IMG has moved a game to that day, which means Notre Dame could be his final gameday visit of the year.
Miller has talked with his father about narrowing his list after the season, likely in January or February. When that cut comes, he knows what will drive it.
"Just how comfortable I am in that situation, how well the coaches like me, how well I think I fit in the school's program and if it's all around a good fit for me."
