Kellen Miller's first Notre Dame gameday of the season came with the complete experience.

The 2028 IMG wide receiver started the day with lunch alongside the coaching staff and went on to take in the Player Walk, a trip into the locker room while the team prepared, a meeting with head coach Marcus Freeman, time on the field and a good seat for the Game of the Year against Miami.

"The game was great," Miller told Irish Sports Daily. "Fans were electric. It was a little chilly, I’m not going to lie. But yeah, the game was pretty good. I had a lot of fun."

Freeman's message to the visitors centered on what Notre Dame is beyond athletics.

"He was talking about how coming to Notre Dame is just more than football," Miller said. "It's a family and you can't find nothing else like it nowhere else."

Freeman also walked the group through how the Irish prepared for the game.

"They were locked in, ready to go all week," Miller said.

The IMG Academy standout holds offers from Notre Dame, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin among others.

During lunch, Miller spent time with receivers coach Mike Brown and general manager Mike Martin.

"He was talking about how he's been keeping up with me during the season and he's been looking forward to seeing me all year," Miller said of Brown.

The Martin conversation was more of a reconnection. Miller played high school football with Martin's son Maddon, himself a 2028 recruit, and Miller's father Tim played football with Martin as well.

"We've always had a good connection, so I was excited to continue building that," Miller said.

Martin's message was a simple one.

"They want to continue building this relationship that we have," Miller said.

The staff as a whole has made the same impression on the 6-foot-1, 195-pounder.

"They're just honest, straightforward, and I don't think they beat around the bush when they're trying to talk to you," Miller said.

Miller watched the receivers closely in the Irish’s win over the Hurricanes.

"I think the receivers did well," Miller said. "Early in the game, maybe I saw two drops, but other than that, they were doing really good."

He also came away convinced he could see most definitely himself in the Irish offense.

Miami was likely Miller's last game day visit of the fall, with no other trips currently planned, and a list cut expected in January or February before official visits. The next step with Notre Dame is setting up the return.

"Just continue talking to the coaches and seeing how I want to schedule my visit for either the spring or the summer," Miller said.

"I love Notre Dame. Notre Dame's a great place, so just excited to be back down and continue having this relationship with them."
