Madison Norris has been to Notre Dame before, so the 2018 Indiana defensive end didn’t need an in-depth tour of campus or inside look at the program.

No, Norris came to South Bend on Saturday to work and show what he could do on the football field.

“I pretty much did the camp and that’s really it,” the 6-foot-5, 200-pounder said.

 “It was great.”

The Fishers, Ind., native feels like he gave the Notre Dame staff a good look at what he can do.

“My skills as a football player,” he said of what he showed the coaches. “My speed was really good, my explosiveness was on point today. During one-on-ones, I was very successful.”

Apparently, they were impressed with what they saw from the Hamilton Southeastern High School standout.

“They said they loved it and that they want to stay in touch in the future,” Norris said.

Norris is looking forward to remaining in contact with the Irish moving forward. He already has offers from schools like Tennessee, Louisville, NC State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Indiana and Cincinnati among others.

He’d love to add Notre Dame to that list.

“It would be a big deal,” he said of the idea of landing an offer from the Irish. “It would be great because it’s a high-end school. It’s a very prestigious school. It would show me that I’m doing very well in football and need to keep doing what I’m doing.”

Norris has one more visit set up after the dead period expires.

“On July 21st, I’m going to Missouri.”
